For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 21 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 21 | I'm putting 48 doors on a 54 cab - it's my wife's truck and she likes the "smooth" windshield on the cab and the single window like my truck (a 48) has.
So I converted the 48 doors to take the push button handle. The issue came up when I installed the Bear Claw latches. The latches work fine, but when I put the window channel guide in, it hits the latch, keeping the top of the guide about 0.4" out from the door. This leaves about 28.5" from the inside of the front guide to the inside of the rear guide.
My concern is that the window with the frame will either not fit in that space or it will make the guide so tight against the latch it won't work.
Has anyone here done this, and if so did it work correctly or are there other modifications I need to make? | | | |
