I am thinking along the same lines for my 56 sub and I am going to use 8" steel painted with the small Chevy smoothy caps with the script that were on some 60's Chevys. I may go with painted Corvette rallys, no trim rings and the same caps if avalable. Check www.Stocktonwheel.com ,they have some nice wheels at reasonable prices.
