There are some Great welders (as in professional paid guys) on the site. Till they show up I'll say the temps you're considering are not an issue. Since you mentioned working outside you've pretty much eliminated shielding gas since even a slight breeze will blow the shielding gas away making for a very porous unsatisfactory weld. That said and since I've had poor results welding thin body material with flux core wire I'd put up some type wind break with heavy plastic and use gas. A few 2x4's and a roll of poly from the ag store would do the trick.
