Ok folks, here we go (easier than a PM to everybody).
Truck I bought 3 years ago had a beat up old Fulton 800 on it, which I did not want cause it wasn't restorable.
Found an original one last year, came off a 1953 3100, and it was in extremely good shape. Has the two tab dog-bone brackets. Each tab has two screw holes in it.
With the door open, from the bottom of the rain gutter, measure up 11-1/16", which will be the first hole on the bottom tab. Now, holding the dog-bone bracket up against the door jamb, all the other holes can be marked.
I'm using #8 x3/4" stainless pan-head sheet metal screws, so the holes you need to drill into the jamb don't have to be very big at all. Once you close the door, all of this covers up.
And for sure, use the two center supports that clamp to the windshield center piece (Classic Parts #36-020), or it will want to bow in the center.
Real good idea to fit the visor and brackets on the truck before any painting is done, cause you may need to do some adjusting on the visor to get the width correct. It's a two person job to hold it up and fit and adjust it.
There's three sections to the visor....left side, right side, and the center section.....all of it will come apart. The two round v-shaped bar stock pieces are colored, (seems like mine were painted red and yellow), and underneath the center section, those color names are stamped into the metal, (so it kinda tells you which one goes in the front and back). It can go together a couple of different ways, but only ONE way correct. Each side of the visor will slide on this round bar for adjustment.
Just like everything else on these old trucks, very basic design, but very good structurally.
