Thank you all. I did notice the uptick in the donations and was wondering what was behind that .... now I know. Very humbling, indeed, and much appreciated. You all have been very generous over the years and have made sure we have *never* had to do anything so unfortunate as to have to load up the site with ads or go to a subscription-based service. Ick.
And thanks for remembering Pete, Paul -- I still remember that phone call -- NOT the voice one was expecting to hear when talking about the crash of an old truck Web site server ... (more about THAT below ...). He rescued Stovebolt when it was most in need of a rescue. Little known fact that's safe enough to share now (and I find it endearing) -- Pete hardly ever spoke on the phone to anyone involved in the old truck hobby, and only did so with us because he was that concerned about us. He was concerned that his *very* English midlands accent would be off-putting to good ole American antique truck nuts. I never thought it would (shoot, the internationality of this site is part of the fun and speaks directly to the quality of the hobby that draws people in from around the globe!) and it was always a treat to speak with a Cambridge Don! Although, he did seem to talk to Peggy more than me ... like, who wouldn't??
