I just pulled the front suspension intact from my daughter's Corvair. Six 3/8" bolts and it's out. Granted it's only 1000 lbs or so on the front end, but it makes me think bolt-in is a definite possibilty. I believe the K members (with suspension and powertrain) on most new cars bolt in.
