The companion item was the "Brake Dokter" which was a disc sander that mounted on the spindles or rear hubs and was used to radius-grind the brake linings to fit the drums. The asbestos dust that those things blew all over the shop would give a latte-sipping snowflake with lace on his manties from the EPA a case of the vapors!
