Isn't the advantage obvious? I can open my doors backwards and won't need a handle to do so!
Same advantage as shaving the emblems, shaving the dash, making a frame, using seats from a F$%^, a rear end from a Nova, front from some fabrication company, Boyd wheels, and painting the whole thing bright [censored] orange!
It's called custom. And it suits our needs perfectly.
