For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 8 Member | | Member Joined: May 2002 Posts: 8 | I've got the very same thing. This truck was given to me because no one else wanted to tackle it. Mine is a 51 with a task force bed on it. I think she might have served her country. I found OD green paint behind the cowl vent and on the floor in the cab. Maybe even started out life as a flat bed? I haven't exactly figured how I'm going to deal with this. Thought about just replacing the fenders and runningboards to make it like a 54-55 1st or replacing it entirely with either a flat bed or the correct 47-53 bed. First thing though is to get a motor and rewire it then after its running I'll worry about the bed issue. I'd probably get that truck if it were me. But I would let the owner know that I know that he's feeding me a line. | | |
