As Tim said, you can't ID the year from this engine code as the suffix "A" was used from 1957 thru 1964.

A = 235 (1957 thru 1962) or 230 (1963 or 1964).
You'll need to find the date code to determine the year and the casting number to determine if it's a 230 or 235.
