You should be able to cut the back off a sealed beam bulb with the hot wire method. There's a bunch of youtube videos about how to do it.
Here's one (not the best, but will give you the idea on how to accomplish it.) Hot wire glass cutter
Might be more trouble than it's worth to set up the equipment to cut one or two bulbs though.
