Back in '06 I had to get a water pump for my '50 216. I turned in the original GM water pump as a core for a reman pump from NAPA. It was after market, and worked okay. But even then I had the same concern that the remans out there have been rebuilt too many times. I would rather have had a reman GM pump... But, so it goes.
