I just finished with this. I vote do it and get it done by a place that gives a lifetime guarantee. A couple years ago I had my running boards sprayed by Bulldog coatings which is essentially the same thing as Line-X and it has held up and looked great. This summer I went back and had all my fenders done on the inside as I want peace of mind if I need to drive on gravel. The fenders nearly doubled in weight, sound rock solid when tapped, and are much stiffer. Now that it’s back together the reduction in road noise is far more than cab insulating gained. Three coats was .075” thick and needed a hacksaw to clean it away from the headlight holes. The headlamp bucket screws have their own “pockets” now and won’t even be exposed inside the fender! This extra step prevented me from getting paint sprayed this year but the $100.00 for each fender was money well spent.
