In my opinion it's about the best of the T5's ratio wise. 1'st gear is the only thing that I sometimes wish was a bit lower. In every day driving the 3.78 ratio is great, however when in the hayfield or creeping down an old hilly woods road I miss the stump pull'n 1st gear from the original SM420.
