I am at the same point as you...mine will not stay closed. Before new paint and gasket mine would close alot like the top vent...it took a little more pressure to seal and close. Now my side vent won't lock and stay in closed position....I have had it off and on a dozen times and can't see how this can be adjusted to make it tighter :confused: ....I will follow your post and hopefully someone will chime in.
