I have been getting some parts off a 52 half ton frame that was broken in multiple places. I have another member interested in the spindles from this one. This pickup came out of an old junkyard and had been sitting for years. I ended up removing the cab, front clip, and engine and transmission. Differential was stripped out and I found the frame was busted up bad so ended up removing everything. Anyway I started to disassemble the front axle yesterday after getting it into my shop. The RF brake drum wasn't on all the way and seemed loose. I removed the drum from the left side and found the ball bearing assembly as the manual shows. BUT on the right side there are tapered roller bearings?? Why would these be on that wheel? The roller bearings are thicker so am thinking that is why the brake drum wouldn't quite go on all the way. Wonder if this was run this way? Anyone ever seen anything like this? Thanks
