I am having a lot of trouble lining up the front fenders & hood on my 48 Chevy truck.
Parts are from different years. 48 GMC cab, front fenders & frame ect. from 48 to 53 Chevy.
I am using a shop manual as a guide but cant seem to make the parts fit right. Hood sits high & out from the cab weather strip. I replaced the hindges & enlarged the bolt holes as in the manual.
The cab seems to be stright On the frame
with new mounts. The fenders are way too low.
I loosed all the bolts & added shims at the radiator saddle & tried to shift the fenders & hood. Also adjusted the firewall to fender rods but do not seem to get any where.
