Hello from the Great White North. After years (decades) of wishing I had an old vehicle to work on, tinker, learn, I finally found my project. I have been looking all summer for primarily 40-60's cars but when I saw this 1958 Apache I knew it was the one. The body is in great shape and the engine runs. Well, it briefly ran while looking at it and the PO had it running the day I picked it up 4 days ago but it hasn't since. It turns over and fires, but just doesn't want to catch easily. I'm totally fine with that as it has started my journey into the nuts and bolts of these beauties.
I'll have many questions along the way I am sure. My first task was what I thought would be the easiest, replace the battery ground. Hah! My first lesson is that nothing is what it seems. The bolt the ground attaches to in the firewall unscrewed a few threads and now just spins. I have so far been unable to find how to access it from the other side. Anyways, just wanted to say hello and that I am glad to be here!
