For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2017 Posts: 50 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2017 Posts: 50 | I've been working on my rebuilt 57 235 and have run into a snag. I have a short shaft water pump and pulley from Classic Parts and stock harmonic balancer. Either the balancer is pressed on too far or the pump some how isn't right, because the water pump pulley groove is about 1/4" closer toward the radiator than the balancer. Any thoughts? Is it possible for a balancer to be pressed on too far, or could something else be off? I received the engine in pieces so I don't know much about how it was before it was taken apart. The water pump is new. | | |
