| | | | Joined: Jan 2017 Posts: 62 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2017 Posts: 62 | Hello, I'm currently tearing down a 261 out of a 1957 Pontiac car to put in my 1949 3/4 ton. Found some coolant sitting on a couple of the lifters at the back of the engine as per the picture. The oil I drained out actually looked really nice, wasn't any evidence of coolant in it. What does this look like to you guys? Crack in block by chance? After its torn down it'll be getting sent to a shop to be checked for cracks but if this is a red flag I'll probably be looking for a new motor. Thanks! http://tinypic.com/r/24fe538/9 | | |
