Now- - - -trick question- - - -how do you explain the concept of "clockwise" to a kid whose only experience with telling time is by looking at a digital readout on his/her smart phone?

I spend some of my time at work teaching the younger generation how to locate targets at night with night vision equipment from the bed of a pickup truck. Since the shooter cannot see the targets, the spotter must relay the relative position of the targets. 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, etc.
Problem is, they had no concept of analog clock faces! I was flabbergasted! Then I had to take the time to explain to them what flabbergasted meant.
