For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 51 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 51 | I am in the process of switching my 48 3100 to original configuration by installing a 3 speed with column shifter. I have read in the shop manual that there seems to be a difference between the 48 "control rod swivel" and the 49-51 "control rod swivel CLAMP". I read it as the 48 is different and possibly is not a CLAMPing type of swivel???
Does anyone know about this that could shed some light.
On either application could someone tell me where the clamps are installed on the rods, like are they installed by the column control levers?
On the 48 are these swivels installed elsewhere and does anyone possibly have a picture of the 48 type?
Thank you in advance
Frank
