I need to do a re-paint of the lower half of my '52 Suburban. I know little or nothing about re-paints. I've read that I should go over the area to be re-painted with 600 grit paper. Should I then prime and wet sand or can I spray right over the old finish? Knowledge is a terrible thing not to have! (P.S. the old finish is base/clear).
