George Good evening George, So the crossmember must be thick enough that it spaces the 2 halves out. I haven't test fit the bottom half yet. The pipe I found today may work then. I figure the pipe serves basically as a limiter so when you torque the bolt down, it don't mash the mount. Thank you!! Kevin
