Hi all, Swapping engine in father in laws 47 I believe loadmaster, Going to pull the 235 babbit pounder and put in a 58 235 car motor. My questions are will the vibration damper interchange? The pic is the 47 235 damper that I want to use, not sure if I will be able to use crankshaft bolt with it or just rely on press fit, I need to use this damper to keep stock belt set up, the damper with 58 engine is 3/8 belt. I am also going to install the water pump adapter plate to move the original water pump up. I am hoping the generator bracket will move to side of engine mount holes on 58 engine as the bracket on old engine is mounted to flange above oil pan. Going to use intake and exhaust manifold from 47 235. Will also probably have to get a pilot shaft bushing for trans. Wish I would have shopped around more for a 54 engine as this would probably been more of a direct fit. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
