Neighbors and kids keep walking by talking about my truck.
Needless to say, everyone thinks I know more than I do. Good thing I know where to find information!
Yesterday, neighbor comes over to ask for assistance. He purchased a “rebuilt” chevelle with 383 in it. What a mess! After replacing the fuel pump, it didn’t start, so trouble shooting began. I think I blew his mind! Spark.... check, fuel.... nope! We cranked longer.... nothing. I poured some fuel down the 4 barrel and she fired right up. Went back to the fuel pump and reinstalled it (used a life line to check my thoughts). Still no fuel. I also found out that he has never heard it run!
I think I can honestly say that we have one of two issues! Plugged line OR no fuel in the tank! (Does not sound hollow when I tap on it) I think we are going to shoot some compressed air down the fuel line to attempt to blow it out. After that, we will need to clean out tank and fuel filter (if I can find it!).
Always love a good challenge and I get to help someone after you all have helped me! Time to pass on a little to others!
Time for bed, Sergeants Major Academy starts tomorrow morning!
Take care,
Chris | | |
