Hi Everyone - Well, making the rounds of the great West, in Montana, found a middle seat for my '52 Carryall, in original condition. I have a few questions and I am hoping you folks can help me out

1) -I could not attach a photo, but the seat cover is a reddish brown - i believe this to be the reddish brown that is the original color of the upholstery in these old trucks - can anyone verify that this color was standard for all options? In other words, is there another correct color, another kind of brown? The original manufacturer, Weymouth "W" is on the reverse side of the upholstery.

2) The seat is quite rusty - before i take it to the upholstery shop, i'd like to knock down some of the rusty springs - the tubing, i will sand down and coat with a flat pecan brown paint, as sold by Jim Carter. But any ideas on how to quickly knock down the rust would be appreciated.

By way of explanation - my Carryall is very original and I intend to keep it that way. So originality is very important to me.

Best Regards, Lisa
