My 1975 Corvette still has the original lacquer red paint job on it. It has held up for 32 years, sure it is not a modern basecoat/clearcoat finish,but it still looks great. Most of the vehicles of the 50"s, 60's and 70's were lacquer painted. Can't tell you if Duplicolor is a good quality lacquer though. It is dangerous to the painter though.
