Hellloooo.

I have a 1950 suburban with 39 chevy tail lights. The tail lights look to be set up for dual filaments. Can I just use one of those dual filament repair kits with the spring on a plate and two wires or should I replace the whole socket? I want to use 1157 bulbs on a 12V system.

Also..... my front turn signals on the fenders (aftermarket but old) have sockets that are set up for single filament bulbs. Can I use these same dual filament repair kits on those, essentially converting those existing sockets to dual filament using an 1157 bulb?
