OK - I better understand your issue, as your carb would be an expensive rebuild with the wrong choke, and probaby a warped airhorn, so, more information.
If you have a passenger vehicle:
A/T - Rochester tag number 7008004
S/T - Rochester tag number 7008005
Carter replacement carb for A/T 2286s
Carter replacement carb 2286s was superceded by 3714s

Are those carbs good for a truck.I can't see any I'D numbers on my Rochester.Just a casting number that looks like GM8 5812.
