To come back to the original subject, it happens to me too, bought a Carter pump this past spring and was expecting something made in North America, but NOO! Made cheap in the foreign country talk about earlier. Only using the name. A tactics use quite often lately. So, I bought a nos AC for 100$.
I should I've known better.
