Not sure if anyone following this thread has restored their heater, but the guide I linked to calls for a quantity of 30, #6 x 3/8 inch pan head sheet metal screws. My local big box only carries them in #6 x 1/2 (60 of them in stainless for ~$4). Do you think that difference will be noticeable? Getting the correct sized ones online ends up costing me ~$20 with shipping (which is highway robbery considering they will fit in an envelope and cost 2 stamps to mail. Thinking the difference will be negligible and I have them in my hand today.
