| | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 275 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2007 Posts: 275 | most all body and fender metal is 18 gauge. You really need to stay with the same gauge. If not you will have trouble welding the edges so that the patch will be level with the body.
