New to the site. I hope my truck is welcome even though its not 100% period correct.
The story:
I got out of my love of riding motorcycles to get a new toy my young kids could enjoy with me. I started my search looking for an old square body Chevy. Something that was driving so I could enjoy it while I tinkered with it.
I never found one that I could get for a steal. So I ran across my truck in a local classified site. It is a '51 5 window body on a '82 Chevy c10 frame and drive train. So I guess I did end up with a square body after all.
But this truck wasn't in driving shape. The previous owner told me it just needed a few things like front calipers and then bolt the body on to get on the street. That's a different story, I had to re do the whole brake system.
I still have to bold some body parts on and wire up the taillights, signals and headlights. Then put all new glass in this thing. But I love it. It will be more unique in my city than a square body.
