Hey fellas , I am sad to say the old 235 in my 52 panel started to knock really bad .. not that there is a good kind of knocking in an engine.. anyway.. I am thinking about putting in a 350 V8 and a 5 speed manual transmission. I am looking to stay with old school carbs and NONE of that electronic computer controlled foolishness. So my question is what transmissions would you recommend for such a marriage ? I don't think my little 3 on the tree would hold up to the power of the beloved V8...
