| | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 814 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 814 | The eye in one of my leaf springs is worn into an oval. One side of the bushing was completely destroyed. I figured I'd just get new springs but when I was talking to a guy at my local FLAPS store, he recommended I get the spring repaired. He claims that a wallowed out eye can be repaired with an insert and made round again. I don't doubt that it can be done but I'm wondering if it would just make more sense to get new springs. Has anyone ever heard of this being done? Inserts for wallowed-out leaf spring eyes?
