If there is a forum location better suited for this question I will go there. I'm wondering if anyone here has used a universal a/c system and had any luck with it. I'm wanting to make my truck more of a year round driver and the humid KY summers make it almost impossible to do so unless you are willing to show up to work wringing wet with sweat. I've seen the pics of the vintage air installation and that's all well and good, but for less than a third of the price on some of the universal models I've looked at I'm curious if anyone here has experience with the more affordable models. One in particular I've been eyeballing comes from coldmaster and is $420 shipping and all for a complete system on ebay.
