Hello all;
I have searched the web and the Stovebolt site and I have not been able to find any info on the electronics. I did find an exploded view of the horn, but it does not say, or show, any electrical parts.
I am attempting to repair my horn which was not working. Long story short, but I would like some help identifying the electronic guts of the horn. There is either a resistor or a capacitor wired in parallel with the power to the coil. I thought it was a resistor, but the electronic store guy was sure it was a capacitor after looking at the horn.
The offending item looks like rolled foil with an insulating medium to separate the layers. Wires are soldered on at the ends of the rolls. Mine seems to have overheated and the insulating medium, tar, must have overheated and leaked out.
If anyone could offer some advice or direction, that would be great.
Thanks,
Steve
