Bartamos: Thanks for the reply. The flange I’m talking about is on the top of the carb. The “bites” I see are in the base, not the flange on top. I’ve seen carb bases that go on the 235 that have an oval shape outer margin. This one is has two curves into the margin, exposing the gasket as I look down when the carb is mounted and two of the four small holes that surround the major hole in the insulator show. Is that normal?
