Bartamos, At first I couldn’t figure out what you were trying to do with the extra solenoid. A picture is worth a thousand words. Moving the contractor out of the heat by adding the copper strap is a neat trick. I have 1/8” copper sheets laying around to form the ball on the electrode when tig welding aluminum.
