All the above verbiage above is the reason I and others suggest leaving the DVM in the toolbox for other jobs and using the old, but much better suited to this task, analog meter. I will let someone have my trusty Simpson 260 when I’m done with old rusty tin but not before.
I do agree with bartamos if you just gotta use a DVM.
