Well, the OD is a light press fit to begin with. I would probably use permatex "high tack" or "ultra black". Light coat, only needed if housing is nicked or gouged. Fills in. If they are tapped in straight and not deformed, they don't leak on the OD. Be sure to grease the rubber lip and the axle........ and don't carry any dirt onto the lip from a dirty axle.
