The simple answer is yes in those years. The difference is in the side cover in order to correspond with the shift arm/rods. Also the lower mount holes are threaded on the truck case. The car uses a plastic spedo gear, the truck is steel so the spedo drive gears are different sizes. Same internal components and gear ratios.
