Yes, I received your PM, and answered it. Try checking your "Preferences" tab on the forum to see if you're set up properly to send and receive messages. The diagnosis procedure for a 3-unit regulator is fairly complicated and it involves making some voltage checks and other procedures.

There are three magnetic coils under that cover, a "cutout relay", a "current regulator" and a "voltage regulator". the points of each of these units can be cleaned and adjusted, but do not attempt to do anything (even removing the regulator cover) without disconnecting one of the battery cables. An unintentional short can fry the regulator almost instantly.
