For a '51, the glass is all flat safety glass, so you can get it wherever you like. Sometimes the templates are a bit off-size and the glass doesn't fit exactly. Its nice if you have the old glass, but if you don't the glass shop can take care of it. It should be pretty cheap. If you are having a shop install it I would buy it from them. Then if they break it it's their fault.
