You know I fought with the proper codes and then the matching color doesn't always match the code. Case in point, some years ago, a buddy of mine was trying to find the correct Tropical Turquoise for his 57 Chev. Got the proper codes and then went shopping paint chips to match his original paint in his trunk. There were so many shades of this paint it got comical to pursue it to far. The spectrum of colors from one end of his car to the other was 5 diffferent colors based on the age of the paint and how it weathered through time with the sun god. In the trunk was greeny turquoise , on the dash a bluey oxidized tropical turqoiuse. If you are doing a complete repaint, pick your type of paint ie single stage vs base coat clear then get a paint chip you like then get to it. You will keep your sanity too.
Regarding the paint color on the inner fenders, I stripped the dealer under coat of my 53 and found the nicest "gloss black" under it. I know later chev cars and trucks had semi flat inner fenders but these were gloss might have a picture. Because the picture is compressed to fit the format of this UBB it is hard to see any gloss.
