Around this hobby, it seems to me that the top five things that get people into the most trouble fastest are brakes, tires, steering, brakes smile and ... trailers/towing. And did I mention brakes??

Couple suggestions...

1. Read Barry Weeks' excellent article on trailering -- it will help you figure out what you actually need to do here.

2. Try asking this same question in the Hauling Forum -- There are folks who prowl that forum who know quite a lot about this.
