I believe the passenger's side perch for the 292 is shaped a little different than the one for the 250. The 250 mount will bolt in, but apparently it's not going to have the right geometry for the engine to be installed properly. Someone posted a picture of a 292 right side mount recently, and there appears to be a difference in height, or angle, or both.
