| | | | Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 16 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 16 | Hello Bolters. I joined this site about a year ago when I purchased my 53 Chevy 6400. This site is a wealth of information and I have learned a LOT but have not yet posted anything.
Shortly after purchasing my 53 I also purchased a 59 Chevy 261 engine pulled from a 59 Chevy Viking. The engine was locked but I have since taken it apart, cleaned it up installed new rings and am in process of reassembly. My original plan was to put the 261 into the 53 but when cleaned out the gas tank on the 53, installed new fuel pump, points and plugs the old 53 fired right up and has been running fine. I'll see if I can figure out how to post some pics. | | |
