1 problem that I have not been able to solve is my 235 engine taps when cold. I have rechecked the valve adjustment replaced lifters 2 times.over the summer I tried different oils and viscosity. 10w30 the tapping goes away faster but when the engine warms up the oil pressure is about 15 psi at idle used 15w40 and sometimes the tapping may take 20 minits to go away.I also put a grove in the bottom of the pushrod to let the air out.I started it a couple times this winter and the valves for some reason stop tapping in about 3 or 4 minits with the 15w40 oil.The only thing I can think is the lifters are after market and not gm and maybe they dont leak down as much in the winter. so they dont need as much oil to fill them back up. Anybody got any other ideas.
